where’s the option for “soon, just lazy.”
Drove in today, got sick of waiting during 70 degree days. Plus it had rained a couple times in the past week to get rid of the salt.
wheres the option for when fed-ex delivers my summers:

People really use winter tires?!? Our winters are so intermittent I’ve never seen it necessary. If you can’t control your car in the snow on all seasons, you shouldn’t be driving or you need a new car.
:suicide:
The difference between a good snow and an all season is night and day, and living out past the city limits there have definitely been times I have needed snows to get places. Granted, I also did a winter on Pirelli summers in the M5 hahahaha.
Driving on all season tires compromises both summer and winter performance. Double fail.
My 2 cents.
I never saw the need when I had cars with relatively skinny all seasons. Then I got my GTO with wide summer tires and quickly realized it was pretty much undrivable in the snow. We run good all seasons on the Murano and it’s fine.
Owning an evo then just running all seasons is about as silly as building up a 700 HP non-awd drive car, then bringing it to the 1/4 mile on street tires. Sure it will work, but it’s like a giant waste of money to not get the full potential out of it.
My STI did fine on all-seasons as far as getting from point A-B like a normal person I suppose. But it was fucking ghey. In comparison…well there was no comparison. Add snows = FUN + safer for the DD. I will just never understand how someone could own a $30k+ car, then chince out on $600 for a set of snows and get 1/4 of the potential out of their $30k car.
^ Snow tires are great when there’s actually snow on the road but any other time they suck. I prefer having one set with all seasons and another set with good summer tires. Blue Eyed Devil and Swerve, the EVO is incredible with HRI’s in the snow. Snow tires are a waist of money on our car’s unless your in upper canada or the hills of Colorado, somewhere that has snow on the road constantly

Haha I wouldn’t say the GTO is the best winter car but the Murano on the other hand, great winter driver choice. My buddy and I went for a long rip out in Somerset/Olcott area during one of our first big snow storms this winter. Average that night probably 9/12" of snow on wide open roads with snow drifting everywhere I got the speeds up towards 80/90 and the Murano kept right with me. Mind you those speeds were nowhere near any houses, trees other cars or people. We do this in the middle of NOWHERE, I wouldn’t put others in danger. And yes on Fusion HRI’s nobody can say the EVO on all seasons can’t perform in the snow. They grip when you need but can also spin when you wanna pitch it around nice long country bends.
I think he bought the car for the name, not the drive-train, considering his “stance” concerns.
:picard:
^ Your a fool and you obviously don’t know me.
I love how someone with a NEON talks shit. It’s the BEST, it’s always the SRT 4 and Cobalt SS guys that have negative things to say, not my fault you half assed it and bought a neon. Live and learn kid. My car can have sexy stance and lap you on the track. I take performance into consideration before anything, unlike any Neon owner.
I hope you get another set of tires because that definitely won’t happen on your all seasons.
Doesn’t sound like you’re taking “performance” into consideration saying all seasons are as good as snows in the winter.
I drive a R32, I’ve got awd too, and I still got snows. And for the few times we got bad snow and I was out of town driving in some shit I’m more
Than happy that I had them.
Swapped back to my V12’s a couple days ago, thrilled to be back on them. It really is like a different car.
My half assed gay cobalt will shit on your evo.
I used to never think you would want winter tires with an AWD car until i drove my talon through a winter with snow tires. i’d prob never want to drive on all seasons again just because of the FUN.
i took my winter tires off today. studs were extremely annoying and the tires were getting way too squishy.
i blew a hole through my sidewall 2years ago because i was on snow tires in may because my SUPER SICK ROTAS didnt come in on time.i’d take them off now… they will wear out super fast.
Summers are on (thanks Swerve) was going to go with Hankook Ventus RS3s but they are on back order on tirerack until May. Eff that with the weather being so nice. Bought Dunlop Direzza Star Specs, a bit more dough but they have a $40 mail in rebate on them. It’s nice to roll around on a sticky tire and hear rocks hitting the wheel wells again.
^^ have those tires for my balt… 3rd season with them… still taking corners like a boss!
somerset/olcott is a long trip? wow you dont get out much do you. im in olcott almost every weekend year round, its only a 30-35 min drive. with snows on my slammed rwd car, its about a 40 min drive.
but 9-12" of snow out there? especially this winter? come on, the most amount of snow they have gotten this year at once was about 5-6". 90% of the time they only got a dusting, if that. even when they have snow north of 104, by the time you get to wilson burt road it pretty much falls off to nothing and green grass. i dont think we got a single noreaster this year and thats the only time they have snow.
talk about exaggeration. silly evo owners. quite arguing about how amazing your car is and try out a set of snow tires next year. i can run circles around other people with my car on nokian’s and i can barely fit a 2x4 under my front bumper. it is def worth having a second set of shoes for your car.
i put my summers on last week. didnt want to wear out my snows with the warm weather
