I’m in the market for a HD projector. I’m looking for one for around $1000, any tips on what to look for?
I will be mostly playing Xbox 360 and watching movies. Not really sure on where to look.
I have a projector here, Not high def, but basic things too consider.
space, gotta have it for a big picture
Bulbs, jesus god they’re expensive
gotta have either a screen or a very white perfect wall
you’re probably gonna need some long hd A/V cords, Mine were 20 ft, since the xbox sat on a shelf and the projector was at my feet.

For around that price you can find a new/used one of what I run. Panasonic AE900; great projector, native 1280 x 720 resolution; 5000:1 contrast, 1100 lumens.
I’ve got over 3500 hours on the original bulb, some brightness loss, but overall still works great.
They’re going for between $800 used to $1200 new.

thats 720p right? have you ever gamed on it? I think Xbox 360 displays 720p… sorry for being so naive to this.

its native 720, it could be interlaced or it could be progressive you would have to read the projector specs to figure out which
and yes the 360 does
it’ll do 720P or 1080i (Downscaled to 720); and games on it are unreal at 720P;
In a darkened room, with the screen I have (5’ tall, 8’ wide) and 6.1 dolby digital it’s crazy.
