Heater switch stuck and accelerator

The switch for adjusting COLD<->HOT won’t go all the way to hot anymore, it goes just slightly passed the middle. Something might of snagged when I was putting in my deck. I took it out and tried again with no luck. I’m kind of lost as to where to look for this.

Also, although unrelated (i think) the accelerator gets stuck when I get completely off it. I mean I really have to tap it hard to get it loose again, it would be really dangerous if I was daily driving it. I tried cleaning the throttle plate with some carb cleaner but it still sticks. I did look inside the throttle body and it looked pretty filthy. I should note that the car was leaking oil a while ago and alot of the stuff in the engine bay is covered in tried up oil.

Well check you throttle pedel, that coiuld be what is getting stuck, not the throttle body, and for your heater, if this pisses you off so much get a used one from some where.

for the heater thing take out your deck and you can see the wire that controls the heat adjustment it has a thick white plastic caseing it attaches to the bottom of the climate control unit. just make sure no wires are blocking the lever that the white line goes to. also follow the line to the other end and make sure that end if free as well.
this may help you avoid removing the unit cause its kinda a pain in the ass.
as for the throttle you need to lube the cables dont use carb cleaner and make sure the throttle body isnt sticking
