We did this last spring at work. We had what at one time was a rental generator mounted in a trailer. We sold it and had to move it across the parking lot, but we had no way of moving it. Someone suggested hooking it to my truck. It was by far the heaviest thing ever hitched to it. We had to give it a shove with the tractor to pop it up out of it’s hole, but after we got it moving the truck had no problem with it.
It just looks wrong…
That’s awesome. I’m assuming you couldn’t really turn with it?
nice tractor and dog
It turned fine surprisingly, the hitch was pretty close to the front of the trailer. But yeah, I could pinch it if I cranked it hard. The dog is a co-workers (the guy in the pic). The tractor is ok…it’s too small for what we try to do with it. It seems like it’s built kinda cheap too.
What size was that generator?
255kW with a Cat D334 in front of it
how was it hooked to your truck? or was it just sitting on there?
That is burly. What was that, around 14,000 lbs? I love that generation of Ram HDs, tough as nails.
That has to weigh 20k+
OT but I love A-frame structures! Truck is a monster though.
Looks like a New Holland 2120.
I was thinking it was a German Sheppard.
In the second pic it looks like the dog has on the worlds biggest cone around it’s neck due to the way he was laying in front of the tank. There was a CTD at auction yesterday, black extended cab 4x4 duallie with 211K on it. I wanted to buy it just because it was so bad ass.
You know how I feel about this
Hungry? Bloated? Maybe a lil gassy?
You sir, are correct.
And someone asked how it was connected to the truck; My truck has a 5th wheel hitch mounted in the bed.
thats a load …i bet that felt great behind the truck
