My friend is turning 21 next weekend and was thinking about taking her for a helicopter ride around (or above) buffalo/Niagara Falls. Anyone have any info on a good company/website to go to for reservations or pricing info? I’ve searched a little and have come up with pricing of around $100-$150 per person depending on the company. Has anyone ever done this before? If so, was it a good time? Couple of the websites I’ve looked at state it’s a 20 min or so ride. Seems kinda short for the cost but is it worth it?
I did a plane ride in a small cesna over the falls. It was a lot cheaper than helicopter rides. It was pretty short, maybe 30 mins. Super fun though, I had never been in a small aircraft before so the whole experience was pretty sweet.
I did the exact same thing on my 21st birthday. I thought it was awesome! There was some heli-pad by the border back then… we just walked up and said “how much?” and they took us up and around the Falls.
My favorite part was when we were banking at 60 degrees in a turn… so much fun!
The canadian side offered rides for around 121 / person CAD, not sure what the american side is, theres only one I know of in the US, and its based at Dennys in NF.
I own a flight school and do “discovery flights” over niagara falls for $89, about a 30 - 40 minute experience, in a 2 seat cessna 152 airplane, you actually get to fly, downside is it is only a 2 seater, so just one person can come at a time. The airport is based in Lockport, on transit across from the drive in. www.flywny.com Hope this helps!
Hmm…I wonder if that would actually be more of an experience than just sitting in a helicopter and looking around. PM sent…that price is def awesome. Thanks!
