i would try to turn it off if you are having issues… i never really saw it ONLY block pictures… usually pop ups and junk!
right click my network hood -> properties… on the side (left) click change windows firewall settings, then click off and ‘ok’.

I’ve noticed that pittspeed hiccups sometimes on loading pictures, smileys, etc… when I use internet explorer… I switch over to firefox, and it loads fine… Maybe its an IE issue?
