just wanted to say hello to everyone. found this forum and i think its great. ive been trolling for a few days now. decided id say hi. im from green island, anyone on here from this tiny ass town? i am by no means a know it all and in fact am looking for some advice… even though i may regret it later.
i have a mostly stock 90 civic si. i know, bring the hate. ive heard it all before. the thing is, i tried to make freinds with a guardrail last year and now my front end if f’ed. the rad support is a mangles mess but the frame itself is ok. i basically put everything in front of the engine back together, got a used hood, bumper, bumper support, radiator, headlights turn signals… all back together with some success. but it just looks all off center. i just had my third daughter, and i really cant afford to take this thing to a pro body shop. its just kinda my beater now. if i could get ahold of a rad support id be ok but those are few and far between. i don’t want to ditch it cause its a 90 si. not that many around. and theres not much rust.
the other piece of advice i want is a s far as an axle back exhaust. i have a hole just before my muffler. i cant repair it. too big. i dont want a fart can. but i have a 4 2 1 header test pipe and 2.25" piping to the axel. i was thinking maybe a flow master? any ideas or suggestions?
If you need any help with that thing. Plasma cutting that rad support out, welding in the new one, paint and shit too… I work for cheap… prolly too cheap at times. lol.
as for this place… take the hits and lashing in the beginning and let it ride. You already off to a good pace, not jumping in and saying your going to have a 500HP death trap because you know everything under the sun for making powarz.
the only lot this thing has been in is where is where i work… a restrunt on wolf road. some people have said theres one that looks just like it with the same front end damage runnin around colonie.
my plan now is 1 get the windshield replaced 2 get some 195 60 r14’s and 3 get a new axel back exhaust.
mabye some of you know my brother… he has a custom 91 (?) turbo 323 mazda runnin like 25 pouns. from schenect. fmic, no front bumper and a side exaust. also has a 1g red eclipse with black hood… he has helped me out a lot lately…
