Hello from Coraopolis where's my dsm'ers!

Wow I didn’t know there were so many people so close. Yeah I feel you on DSM’s always being down. Luckily mine’s not on jack stands. Though it should be bc I need new shocks. I don’t know how I ended up buying a car with all engine no suspension mods. Well to give you some background on my car (I’ll have pics later), I bought it in Virginia. All the work was done by AR Fabrications and the car dyno’d at 326/316 to the wheels at 12psi. But that was about 3 years ago. The car’s mods are:

SCM61
Ported 2g Manifold
Burschur Race FMIC with 3" piping
3" Burschur Race Turbo back
Tial 44mm wg with dump to atmosphere
Walbro 255 and AFPR
ACT 2600 and symborski’d short throw and rebuilt tranny
880 injectors
Stage 3 chip from Dsmchips
2g mas
Ported Intake Manifold
O ringed Head with 3 angle valve job
2g pistons on 1g rods
4 bolt rear
Here’s the best part NO ABS, power steering, A/C, Cruise, backseat, carpet and a 1.8l short ratio steering rack

The last part was sarcastic. It’s a bitch to drive. The one good thing is that it idles rock solid so I don’t have to deal with that dsm drama. I just have some kind of boost leak that won’t let me pressurize my intake past 5 psi. I fixed the bov, afpr, and biss screw. I have to check the injectors tomorrow with some starting fluid. I have my chip burned for a hacked mas with lower and side honeycombs removed but I haven’t hacked my mas yet (want to fix big probs first) and I’m still lean at idle and knocking on deceleration because I’m going even leaner. Right now I don’t have a MBC hooked up or my safc until I fix these problems. My low fuel trim at idle is 87% which seems too low. The funny thing is I have 16 lbs vacuum at idle and 20 on decel, which is really close to normal. I’ll post pics up here soon. The car has about 6 coats of gray on it at varying degrees of deterioration. It also has a really sick carbon fiber hood, genuine VIS with the reverse cowl on it but he forgot the jesus pins and cracked the windshield and ruined it. It’s basically all go no show super sleeper/pos whichever you prefer. Anyways that’s pretty much the story. I think at this point I’m going to fix it and drive it for a little but end up selling it.

Welcome I work in Coraopolis…Next to the Car Wash…Got Pics Of the Tsi?

Welcome

Welcome aboard. I live down the road in Crescent. I’m an ex-DSM’er twice over…I didn’t learn my lesson with the 1g and got a 2g after toying with Honda’s and Subie’s for a few years. I drive a Camaro now. Have you tried making a boost leak detector? There’s a DIY guide at http://www.mirage-performance.com/EclipseGSX/BoostLeaks/index.html

welcome.

i live in imperial but spend a ton of time in moon at RMU.

Hey fellow new member, and welcome lol

P.S. My father is pretty good at spraying cars, used to have his own body shop and now does bodywork at a dealership. If you can do most/all of the prep work he can probably spray for you at a decent price. Let me know!

welcome
