welcome
welcome!!! I want a sig too =(
Doubt it
His: $3005 (looking like he has 13xxxx miles from dash pic)
Mine: $4690
Thanks for trying tho!
KBB means shit when it comes to car values unless they are stock
I Dont know what your problem is recently with other people’s cars… jesus
sort of on topic:
If you’re going to get tokicos , make sure you get blues
any strut will blow out after a while when they’re lowered a lot, a bunch of people with hondas have run GR2s with 2-3inch lowering springs with success, obv the AGXs are better, but a little more expensive
if you’re going to drop dime on Koni’s u might as well get full coilovers lol.
I want to lower my cavy, it has WAY to much wheel gap.
Hai.
Yeah, those are the ones I would get. It sucks I got ripped off and I’m stuck with a stock suspension still but they wouldn’t of lasted long anyways.
And if you think your wheel gap is bad…

I’m working on finding a W41 head, with a bit of machining the cams will bolt in, and the stronger valve springs will allow me to up the limiter so I can rev as high as the cams make power.
Talk to jeff “Drawftinwithjr” prob spelled different, but im pretty sure he has W41 parts/knowledge, plus hes a good guy
It’s probably better that I don’t.
 to your enthusiasm though.
proof that a drop would blow shocks?
makes no sense, sorry.
(Maaaaaybe on old shocks where the shaft has gooves from wear, which when lowered might rub on the seals causing a leak)
Honda’s are way different than J’s, you’d be lucky to make it 2 months on GR2’s and sportlines, which are a 1.7 and 2.3" drop.
Thats the one good thing about how heavy my car is compared to the base cavs, it sits about half an inch lower, haha
Thanks, I’ll have to shoot him a PM. I’m also on quad4forums and JBO, so I’ve pretty much got it figured out, the hardest part is finding the damn head.
Haha, don’t hold back, it’s a cheap econobox
And thanks everyone
With the correct struts it will be fine and last forever. KYB guarantees their AGX’s for life with the Pro-kit, but the OEM replacement struts for this platform get dangerous very quickly with a drop.
My car was on GR2’s and Sportlines when I bought it… talk about harsh, they came off real quick. The struts were most definitely blown.
Welcome. Save your money. Don’t spend it on the cavalier. Once you get an ME job, you can buy something cooler.
I’m an ME too.
have you checked out www.quad4forums.com ?
Yup
hai!
I like your car, now finish school and get a good job so you can do a 350/rwd conversion.
Very cool - if you are interested in a local Rochester forum, check out teamgi.com
i can fit 2 fists on top of each other in the upright postion on mine lol, my tires are also like 195/75/15s tho i think, so if i had a smaller tire it would be a lot more.
it’s so dissatifying going from a decently lowered honda to all this wheel gap on my cavalier
Greetings…
And wow - does this bring me back. I sold a Black '98 Z24 years ago. Did almost the same things, too.
Oh, and come to think of it, I still think I have a cam from an aborted “secret cam” swap in my garage, still.
oh the days of my white turbo 2.4 cavy.
i have some parts for that if you need. ported/polished 2.3 HO intake, ported/polished TB
Haha, little more work than it’s worth, it’d be cheaper to build and boost the engine I have.
I’ll take a look…
I almost did the secret cams, but decided it wasnt really worth the hassle for that little of a power gain. W41 cams should bump me up to about 200hp and they looooove boost.
Oooo, really? Wouldn’t happen to have the phenolic spacer that Chris Fontana made for it too would you?
