Looks like a fun car. What do you have into it?

in parts alone…

just a quick calculation
motor 3500
Vorshalg kit 3500 http://www.vorshlag.com/product_info.php?cPath=1_4_63&products_id=141
cam package 1000
clutch/ flywheel/ pressure plate 1000
intake 500
tires/ cage/ steering wheel hub/ fuel pump 1200 ish haha

10,700 quick math. Just parts I can think of without going through receipts

Glad you finished it. Whats a stock BMW go for this year?

KBB for this area is just under 3k

i think you should sell it for $1000. when can I pick it up?

jk. No idea what you should ask for it. But I like it.

Joe, you ever end up weighing this thing? What radiator setup is in it? Who did the harness?

I’d forget the value of the car and just try to recoup your parts. 11-12ish

that is a pretty sweet car. GLWS

Yeah, but KBB is for stock vehicles so it doesn’t remotely apply here.

At the same time trying to add up everything you have into it and hoping to get that back out is probably a stretch too. People do projects like these for the enjoyment of the build or the enjoyment of the end result because they rarely get the money back out. It looks like a fun little toy but I doubt you’ll find someone willing to drop almost $11k on it.

i bet you could get 7-9 for it…gutted interior really hurts

tough sell thats for sure…i would say just keep it and make it more “streetable” then try selling it

Sell it for 11. Post it on ls1tech

:word:

God that thing is awesome! Problem here is really the fully gutted / no ac thing. It’ll be a hard sell at anything more then 7-8K really and even then you’ll have to find the right buyer.

I’d spend another $1K putting an interior in it and getting that paint buffed out. An LS1 E36 is wild enough to find an ass for it’s seat (that’s the first time I’ve ever seen that swap), but you’ve gotta clean the looks up. Even if it runs awesome and rips low 11 quarters, it still looks like an unfinished project, and that hurts the value.

Otherwise, wow. What a sleeper. Is turbociv looking for a sedan? :stuck_out_tongue:

Turbociv already has a sedan. :snky:

I’d value this car at 5k. It’s harsh, but about right. If you had done this to a mint condition E36 M3 with full interior then it would be 10k

Its a gutted race car with a LS1 at this point.

Maybe you will find the right person for this?

I still don’t know why people build things like this and try and turn around and sell it then wonder why its not worth a lot…

throw a carpet down, swap in some M3 vader seats

throw all of the interior panels in (cant be that hard to find)

have it dnyod and have someone work some magic with the paint

I think with a few finishing touches it can see 12k+
