Help! Please

I have a 2005 Cobalt. Its just a LS 2.2L 5-speed. My steering has been acting very funny. Sticking when turning right. Now it could be a few different thing but my main question is…Is the power stearing electron(spelling? I cant spell)? And ofcourse any ideas of whats wrong?

Thank You,
Jake

steering**, mileage, have ya hit anything? wrong sub category**

Look under the dash sounds like the tabs are bent on the steer mechanism= expensive replacment

efin* cobalts…
They all have steering problems.

gl

is that something theyre known for? like neons (1st gen) and 3.1Ls for HGs?

‘YeSir’ Big time…
google it

Well its the steering. The dealership I bought it will good will it. The Cobalt is a 2005 but only 38,XXX miles on it. The car sucks. I would like something new but cant afford it right now. Helping girlfriend through collage.

Not looking real promising when you put “cobalt steering problem” into google.

Lots of results like this:

EDIT: lol… estorvito was just reading the same thread I was.

2000$ seems like a bit much ta fix it

Damn what a shitty problem. I hope the dealer takes care of it for you.

damn chevy’s!!

some of the new technologies are really nice, but it seems it is outrageous to fix them if anything happens

so then all 2.2 or 2.4 or 2.0 s/c t/c motors are affected? like those in cavys and sunfires and g5’s and 6’s??

Id say, let mister carnut look at it. And you should call me sometime where you been hiding?

Wow that sounds fucked.

Not good.

man. i would be pissed if my 4 year old car was doing this shit

add it to the pile of reasons i’ll never own a gm product again…

^amen

Yet you bought another vw :mamoru:
