Help! v.DVD Burner

Try going into the BIOS and letting it autodetect your drives. I had a problem in the past with my DVD drive becoming a CD Drive in the BIOS and then windows wouldn’t see it correctly.

After you’ve done that boot into windows safe mode and remove everything under DVD/CDRom drives in device manager. Sometimes “ghost” devices will show up in device manager in safe mode that don’t show up otherwise. Reboot and let windows start normally and re-detect them.

I’ve never seen windows need a driver for a DVD/CD burner. Hell, I just installed a drive with a special Kreon firmware for reading Xbox360 games and windows didn’t even need a driver for that.
