ford explorers
ford pinto
chevy / gmc trucks in side impacts
fieros no mater what they were doing @ the time

cant think of any else for some reason …

pats brand new a4

didnt the newer f-150’s and ford trucks that size have issues with the brake booster then it starting on fire??

my colt was on fire once

Current F150s and Expeditions… hence the recall on the cruise control switch.

ford aerostars…anyone noticing the ford trend here?

Ferrari 360s. you cannot remove the gas cap after driving them hard without wearing nomex gloves and the majority of incidents with them at tracks result in fires.

also C5R LeMans racers. Ask Dale Jr. about that.

I was there.

yea but thata dsm… i mean thats just another way it breaks

Chevy/GMC trucks didn’t have any higher incidence. Dateline had to rig the damn things with explosives to get them to blow up.

:word: i had one of those trucks. yes the tank wasnt inside the frame, but it wasn’t a bomb on wheels by any means.

Porsche Cayenne ( or whatever their SUV was ) … was recalled for incidents where the steering column randomely burst into flames.

i remmeber that, in the video you could see the model rocket engines ignite just before impact, but i had thought that the trucks already had a decent history of going up in flames on side impact, and that dateline rigged the truck just to ensure that they got good video footage

GM wouldn’t let Chevy dealers sell the Aveo for awhile until they figured out why it was blowing up.

Older Ford Crown Vics, and probably their Grand Marquis cousins. . .They didn’t exactly burst into flames randomly, if hit from the rear there was a fuel tank safety issue. Dunno.

I’ve hear of 2 Dodge Shadows bursting into flames, locally.

x…

1st gen Mustangs had some issues too, because the top of the gas tank served as the floor of the trunk. Though its not really fair to blame the car fully, since safety standards of the early 60s weren’t quite what they are today.

didnt old Corvairs and Pintos burst into flames as well

any car that you hold the nitrous on too long for.

aside from the ones already posted, I haven’t heard of any habitual flamers.

ssssshhhhhhh.
