My old kinesis wheels came off that car before it burned. Felt bad for him, he was a cool dubber. Rochester guy.
Jeller
he is on the local boards, and last time this was posted he asked for it to be removed…
Its sad, it was a nice car.
Not going to watch it at work, but is that the vid of the GTI burning, set to say it ain’t so?
at people still driving past and the jogger at the end.
how come all i got was a song i wanted to hear the dude its on fire talk
Same thing happened to my buddy Dan’s GTI (same year) down in Philly.
Thats awesome
i am pretty sure if the fire was near the turbo it could have been an oil line ontop of the turbo leaked oil on the hotside and set it up…then the mk4’s behind the dash don’t like to get hot and the crap behind the dash light up to make everything worse.
oh and that vid is sooo old.
very old video, still painful to watch
does insurance cover shit like this

PT how did Dan’s car go up?

injectors were not seated properly.
so thats the reason he leaked fuel onto the exhaust and poof
not to be a dick at all but if he had closed the doors and windows it would have slowed the fire down some on the interior. Maybe by that point it was best to have it be a total loss though

yes but that would have been the smart thing to do… not to mention pulling the battery. The wind is just fanning the flames like crazy
