They have recently started to cut back on the “SS” label on everything. The 2.4 cobalt, previously an SS in the '06 and '07 years will now just be the Cobalt Sport for '08. They are also coming out with a Sport version of the equinox. Previously they woud’ve called it an SS I’m sure. The first article I found referring to the Equinox sport talked about how Chevy was cutting back on the use of the SS.
i owned a 99 grand prix gt, and to this day, it is my favorite car i’ve ever owned. but now they water everything down with gt, ss, etc. they need to get a real performance line, and not destroy the name.

Ya iv seen those vids before.to bad there only making it 1 year.i race 1 before and it did a 14.4 or something. It was with me till about the 330 mark and i started pulling away.but at first i didnt really no ne thing about the TBSS so i was freaking out cause i thought maybe there was something wrong with my car.but ya they r deffinetly a sick vehicle.
