Update: Just got it tacked into place. I had to tack it with flux core because my gas ran out. I should have finished this before driving it around. OH WELL, I can fix it.

let me know if you need to bring it down and finish welding it here if you want
THanks Jeff. I will see if my uncle comes back soon. His semi and old lady have been gone a few days so I assume he had a long haul somewhere. I would rather use his stuff since I have rods and wouldn’t be using your wire/gas.
FYI…
I think it would be alot easier to build you trailor fixture to suit the height of the trailor. Not the trailor to the height of the fixture. In your cad drawing after the fixture you raise the height to 18" straight up with a 45 degree stabalizing bar it might tow better.
Yeah, it’s pretty obvious the hitch will have to be up a little bit more after getting the bed back on. It’s just that fuckin low. I plan on the trailor being low too, but the pivot point between the two will be raised up off the ground a little ways. Is there a ‘standard’ height for trailor tongues?
yes i do believe there is. I am not sure what it is. I think my Dad knows but hes hunting and shit. Does anyone else know?
Your truck isn’t really my kind of thing…but I have to say, I’m very impressed with your work. Very cool man.
Well I guess it’s a good thing you don’t have to drive it then. :bigthumb: Thanks for the good words.
Not much new here but I did finish up the drag bar. I plan on doing a road test with it tomorrow. I tested it a little bit today but didn’t want to waste the steel without a camera rolling. Thanks to Jeff for letting me redeem the gift certificate :bigthumb:

whoops, realized that was the wrong video I posted yesterday… Here is what you should have see…
