im going to be moving up to a sales assistant starting december first, so my job as night time lot guy / detailer at west herr nissan will be up for grabs. i know a bunch of people on here said they would love to have my job so heres your chance if youre still interested.
pay will probably start at 6.75, raises every 3 months if you dont suck and crash cars or screw things up.
hours are:
mon, tues, thurs 4-9
saturday 9-5
summer hours will be pretty much fulltime starting from the end of spring semester, all the way til fall semester starts. my boss has always been very flexable with hours and getting days off when i needed them. theyre pretty cool to work for as long as you dont give them a hard time.
basically all you have to do is make sure the cars in the lot are parked reasonably straight and organized. you’ll probably have to detail cars for delivery at night because the daytime detailer is gone by 4:30 and im the only one left at night. its not a big deal, cars are generally already pretty clean and its a good way to waste time. ive gotten to drive some pretty cool cars thus far because of this job so i cant complain. 04 911, 02 vette, 05 h2, 05 CTS V, jaguar, bmw, benz, blah blah blah. just yesterday i sat in an 05 viper srt10 that came into the body shop for repairs (most uncomfortable sports car ive ever sat in).
its fun, pretty relaxed, probably the best part time job you can have while youre in school if youre not looking for a higher paying job. if anyones interested just shoot me a pm.
you call parking / washing / waxing cars physical work? as in manual labor? this job is far from that. ive never come home exhausted from work. its cake. you wont find an easier job for minimum wage
I call $6.75 for washing, waxing and detailing cars piss poor. Hell I worked at West Herr Olds probably 10 years ago and made over $10.00 to do used car detail and pre-delivery clean & shine
i worked at the Honda dealer for 2 months doing this. it was easy work, but the demands of the mamagement were unrealistic. apparently, they hired and fired 4 people in the 2 months prior to me getting hired. i lasted the longest at 2 months lol. if this place is as good as it sounds, id quit UPS in a heartbeat, but i jsut cant justify driving from Amherst to Hamburg everyday for a minumum wage job.
