I have a fit and love it, great gas mileage plenty of room and it handles pretty dam good , also it has amazing versatility with the back seat configurations
Jetta TDI. Convert to run biodiesel. make own biodiesel. Saving money, helping the national defense of the country. you’d be me hero.
given the consumer reports and a few other sources, there ain’t a chance in hell i would even consider a VW.
you can track the fit and take the family home afterward.
It had 106HP, I would be embarassed to “track” the thing on any type of track. It would probably lose to go-carts on a go-cart track. I went out and drove a Fit today. It was a decent little car. I have heard people say it handles good, but that only because it can’t go fast enough to slide.
And my whole family won’t fit in the fit.

what about a kia rondo? it’s not terribly exciting, but it seats SEVEN people, gets 30 mpg, and is built on the same platform as the Hyundai Sonata. Traditional (meaning, not sports-oriented) car magazines have been piling the praise on this car. And it’s only $17k, brand new.
hmmm, never saw that before.
so I went out and test drove a Nissan Versa, Nissan Sentra, and just looked at a Subaru Legacy. I understand the gas mileage has to come at a price, but is there any car that is even half as fast as my vic? I cannot describe how shitty every new small car is on the market today. How in the fuck can people drive these cars and actually want to buy one. All of the cars I drove were scary slow, merging onto a highway is dangerous. I have upped my price range and size of car, there is no way I am spending $20k on a small hunk of shit.
In that case… New Ford Fusion with Sport Appearance Package? You can even get it with a 5 speed.
I like fords, but I don’t know if I want one for my daily driver. Import>Domestic for daily driver IMO.
Just thought I’d throw it out there. I know what you mean about the dangerously slow comment, my 1.8t Audi can’t move out of it’s own way, 0-60 seems to be somewhere around 35 seconds. The newer civics I have driven (save for Si model) have had the same problem. Considered a Saab? Also, just throwing it out there.
Civic Si sedan is like $22k MSRP. With dealerships hurting right now you should definitely be able to get them down even though it’s an Si. Honda reliable, seats 4, MotorTrend says 0-60 in 6.3, and you can get 30mpg.
and its a blast to drive
i got mine for 20 out the door back in 05 when they wanted top dollar for them and couldn’t keep them in stock
realistic city mpg is 24 and highway is 36 mpg
i got 40k miles on mine and its been a great car
What about a new lancer? They look pretty good, are priced base under 20k and should be around 22mpg??? Both eclipses I owned never gave me a single problem. Every other car I have owned, has.
IMO a regular Lancer is going to feel a little anemic. A lot of reviews have been disappointed with the performance, and I’m guessing he would be too since the power-to-weight ratio is very close to that of the Versa.
The new fits look like minivans lol 07 or older look good imo
You are all bitches.
I have 100hp and I never have a problem merging or passing, you fucking pussies.
My buddy only gets like 22ish highway…And its bone stock
Even the wheels? Is he in second gear and 8000 rpm on the highway?
