Honda EF brake help. *My brain hurts*

I’m trying to source together a BBK by the end of today.(I had one ordered earlier but it got back ordered so I’m saying F-that noise)

My car is a 1990 CRX HF, with a turbo-ed b18c swap+stage 2 axles.

Apparently you can use Honda Accord Wagon Calipers+Brackets in combination with a 10.3" rotor without much of a hassle. This combination is setup for a DX steering knuckle. I understand that part.

And here is where I get confused:

A EX/SI steering knuckle can use GSR brakes from what I understand(Maybe)

Then, my car is a HF model, which uses smaller disc brakes(9.0" compared to the 9.5" of the DX). I also heard HF’s need DX hub assemblies to accommodate any axle other than the original HF ones.(Is the hub a part of the steering knuckle?). So I have no idea what steering knuckle I have, let alone the compatibility of this mod.

How can I identify what type of steering knuckle I have?

Really, what I’m trying to figure out is will the Honda accord DIY BBK work on my CRX.

Please if anyone even understood that please help me.

Did some research, apparently to swap any B-series motor into a CRX HF you have to swap the steering knuckles to a DX or SI setup.

Therefore, I’m pretty sure my steering knuckle will work with the upgrade.

good job on doing research yourself and finding this out… i know a lot of people on here or on honda tech would just sit and play with themselves until someone else told them what they had to do…

Took me like 4 hours to figure it out though.

Holy fuck Honda’s are reallly confusing. I miss my pontiac almost.

have u been to honda-tech.com…hondas are one of the most simple cars to work on honestly which is why everyone does one

^ x2, for an EF you can use the full brake system off a DA teg, including the rear discs , just upgrade to the 4040 prop valve if you do.

if you have to change knuckles go with DA knuckles, its really hard to find an EF EX to steal brakes from. Yes, the hf axels and hubs only work together, you will need dx/si/da knuckles to use any other motor / trans combos.
