are there any tricks to getting the alternator out of a 90 integra? it looks like it’s gonna be a huge pain in my ass.
that is about the only trick
options:
- buy another integra.
- buy something else.
if those don’t work, pay sears… or take big chunks out of your knuckles…
looks like removing the cvjoints/halfshafts or whatever ther called would make it easier.
Its not to bad at all
use a long 12mm wrench for the top
and under the fender use a long ext with a 14mm and it will losen right up
the tricky part is getting it out when its off u might be able to finagle it out right below if not u gotta slide it under the intake mani and it will pop right out
I’ve taken them out the bottom on a lift, just pop the intermediate shaft out, or i’ve pulled the master cylinder for more room to gank it from teh top.

my buddy had to do that on his civic as well
it wasn’t too bad. i unbolted the itermediate shaft and it pretty much came right out. next how about the heater fan? looks even worse.
