Wow. What a cosmetic turnaround. Good work!
Much better. I like the transition back.
What do you have left to do? Are you putting back in a turbo motor?
For right now I am just focusing on the basics, the suspension needs a serious revamp as it is currently ebay coil overs with the stock shocks, I’m planning to run the vmaxx coil overs this year, the motor going in will be an LS, once I get back from Carlisle, I will start shopping around for some turbo components, the goal is 220-250whp.
^ if you need a mani i got a drag turbo mani for sale for 80 bucks picked up
but the car looks amazing now :TU:
well, little bit of progress, we completed the wire tuck stuff, and I got the bay painted to match the rest of the car. Should start some reassembly today and then pull my motor from the donor car.
Body color horn mod!
lol
lol those will be coming off, I got a new horn
Very nice turn-around
Little update, been working on fixing lots of little things, tying up all the loose ends, but last night we got the motor in, now just to mount the wires, hook em up. Should be another update coming in a week or so, ordering an exhaust and suspension this upcoming week, getting antsy to cruise around.
jeepers these updates are few and far between…
This has been a bit of a struggle as of late, I found a crack in my tranny around the area where the shift linkage stabilizer bar bolts in, JB welded it, and it leaked, while cleaning the JB weld off the whole piece that juts out to bolt in to broke off, so i had it welded, fast forward a few days and I get the tranny back in, add fluid and it leaks again, so it gets welded again, add fluid again and it leaks just a little so more JB weld seems to have done the trick, just around some harder to reach spots. So now with the tranny seemingly buttoned up, the new exhaust is on, valve cover has got a make over, all the suspension bushings were replaced, the new adjustable coil overs will be installed tomorrow, and when headlights arrive tuesday I should be able to start putting miles on it before the long ride to carlisle next weekend.
Looks clean, I am sure I will see you around this summer
word this is lookin good
I remember Don hooking up my tranny with a new diff. in my jdmsir del sol and tossing the motor in the night before the 5 hour trip to carlisle. That was five years ago. I wish I still had my sol and was going to carlisle. Have fun, GL.
thanks to all…I have had to JB weld the crap out of the tranny, im just hoping it holds up for the trip, and if not, I guess I buy another lol
updated…re-furbed build thread!
