Well my hatch build is finally starting to come to an end so i figured i should show my progress. Thanks to all my friends who have helped along the way, and also Joe for his great tune that hasn’t blown my stock motor up haha, and Jeff for his amazing piping fabrication. Well to start off i traded my del sol for the hatch, drove all the way to BFE Ohio to find that the person selling it was just really good at taking pictures. There were a lot of issues, and more rust than i was expecting but i decided to trade anyway. This is what she looked like then, note the sneaky picture work that made it look much better haha.
Once i got her home, a very scary drive with the timing being out, fucked up outer tie rod, and a blown upper, which i just found out the other has gave out. Order a omni pro camber kit though so things should be good soon.
Then we pulled the motor out due to new clutch, lightweight flywheels, ES motor mount inserts, new intake mani gasket, ES shifter bushings, all sorts of money that i dont want to remember it all haha. Also got new quarters put in, and picked up a new fender.
New
Suspension No more 4x4
Next was a set of slips Then decided to go turbo, pieced together parts but got most off a member on here, garret 60 trim, inline pro mani. tial wastegate, cheap Intercooler and piping that i didnt even use, once again thanks to jeff for the sick downpipe and IC piping. and finally the dyno results, im very pleased with the power, note stock motor. Criticism, or comments welcome. Try not to hate too bad as this is my first time ever really working on a car. I have learned a TON and am glad i did so much myself. It has taken a lot of time and money but is so worth it. In the future hopefully i can get some body work/paint. Still working on some small issues, got rid of the ricey steering wheel, going to change slave cylinder, replace a rad hose, and get that camber kit and alignment done ASAP cause right now with that power it is all over the road. Once again just want to thank everyone who helped along the way. :blue:
**also pics of the motor with turbo, and dyno vids soon to come, cant find the damn USB cable
