So you’ll remove the “ricer” pedals but waste money on a crappy exhaust and poor quality coilovers, but yet you want to auto-x it next year?
Why not save some money and buy quality brand parts, obviously not expecting top of the line stuff, but at least a quality performing brand.:ham:
Save your money, pass on the drilled/slotted rotors and spend the money on GOOD pads.
Overall, it is a pretty decent looking car, $4k-$5k seems about right though for this with this mileage.
Worse case scenario, it ends up back on here for sale in pieces because it won’t run when it comes swap time.
So to update those that care,I purchased the old civic from his build thread and got it running. The problem was fuse 44.So Evans overlooking stuff was my gain:bigtup:
So the hate starts already? What dose it matter what parts he has there’s plenty of BMW VW an Honda guys running racelands and so what if its a cheeseBay exhaust least he’s making the effort
Also a eBay exhaust is going to do the same thing that the name brand will do at half the cost! Let’s be real its not like he’s running a eBay turbo kit!
K and n is crap this is news to me, also I’m getting a Dc sports 4-2-1 header that’s junk too??? And anything is better then the hacked stock exhaust on there now ill post more pics of it, and a eBay catback is the same thing as a fucking, name brand who cares.
The only real difference is the quality of the welds and the materials they use, but they are usually knock offs of a name brand and sound similar. It will rust like crazy in Buffalo, but even name brand exhausts do that. I wouldn’t care about an eBay cat-back, if you started with eBay coils and rear control arms, then I’d be done with this thread. But good start, I’ve always like these cars for some reason.
Race lands aren’t even junk… Lol, and I’m not driving it in the winter either, it’s a cat back who cares is how I look at it I’ve had plenty of ebay catbacks and they all work the same.
Evans not going that route with eBay lca or coilovers…a lot of people use raceland which are 100x better then eBay. Like I mentioned before a lot of the BMW and VW community use them with many good reviews
You two seem like your arguing but i cant tell on the interwebs, i was agreeing with your choices. Anyways lets get some pics of actual parts being installed and make this a real build thread.
Oh no not arguing just pointing out eBay will do the same as name brand an soon! Evan an I are just waiting to have some free time to get this ball rolling
Yea Steve’s helping me and I did post pics of the parts lol just not on the car yet, waiting on the dp so the only thing I can do is put the intake on, for now I’m going to get it inspected this weekend then tear it apart.
Some kid wants to trade a K Swapped EG hatch for mine, has the K20a3 like yours but with a Type S 6speed. Wouldn’t mind a ride to see how this thing moves in stock form. I debating whether to do the deal cause I know these motors kinda blow in stock form, but hes got I/H/E all done, just needs K Pro and a tune, and auto x rocket.
So because there is a difference in opinion, figured the pansy “hater” card would be played sooner or later, that’s usually the typical cliche response.
But, I’d say the same thing to those VW and BMW guys, plus if you are driving a BMW and plan on modifying it, you better be able to scratch together something better than Racelands.
I’d rather ride stock for awhile and save some cash instead of wasting it on a lower quality product just to have it right now so my car can be “moar low”.
Save the cash and time, buy quality parts the first time around instead of f**kin around paying for sub par items and wasting the time installing them.
But he’s more worried about the “ricey” foot pedals…:pat:
I’m saying it doesn’t make good financial sense and seems to be a waste of time and money.
I did say it is a nice car…
It is?
Silly me for paying for my stainless Thermal R&D 6 yrs ago and have it still going, fitting well, with a low tone and not rotting out.
What do I know?
