Hourglass Traffic lights.

[QUOTE=LUKE_L;3130993Also, it turns Yellow before a Green? So they effectively doubled the amount of times people will rush to the intersection. Smart.[/QUOTE]

False. Almost all cars over here are standard, the yellow before green allows people to get going by the time the light turns green, as opposed to sitting and reacting once it changes. The cities that use this system definitely have a more smoothly flowing traffic system. Rome, on the other hand, is a clusterfuck of traffic, due to lack of care on all parts.

I am trying to find it again but did anyone see that video from a few months back that they turned off all the street lights for an hour or something on one of the busier roads in Europe and people managed to drive just fine.

Awesome. I will probably leave America someday. Its hard to seriously think about, but its gotta happen. This place is falling in on itself in more ways than one.

They should just give an extra 1 or 2 seconds of both sides staying red to reduce accidents. And maybe put in some wheel spikes that lift when the light turns red lol. Pay the fine and buy all new tires

Or better yet, instead of a fine, just have a city run towing service or tire repair shop. Jobs and income

Yea, but a bad day in the US is better than a good day in europe.

I have been to Europe many times, and still don’t see the romance people see in it. You can’t do any of the sports I like, be it motorsports or shooting, without an amazingly huge pile of bullshit in your way.

If I wana go fast, I go buy a fast car, or buy kick ass parts for an old one, and I can still get away with driving it on a road, good luck with that in the EU. If I want to shoot a gun, I go to a gun store and buy a gun. Good luck with that in the EU.

Were doing pretty good over here.

SWEETTTT… i love the idea of having a “tree” at every light so I can prep for my street races better.

/sarcasm

Lets get this in writing… we may have something here lol

They should only install these at red lights which are immediately followed by at least a 1/4 mile straight road section.

I’m possibly thinking Australia…

People in this country can’t figure out a fucking roundabout- do you think they’ll be able to handle the traffic lights getting more complicated? It would also really confuse the blue hairs that can’t even remember which pedal is which.
