Take a dump on the spot, rub it in good with your hand and rinse. Let us know how it works.
Diluted dish soap. Seriously, it’s a degreaser but gentle and doesn’t leave a residue. It worked on my light tan carpet a month ago when I was rebuilding my furnace exhaust and I accidentally walked up the stairs, down the hallway, and across the bedroom not realizing that I had heating oil residue on my sneakers. Works for other stuff too. (I own two dogs…)
Oxyclean discolored and ruined my brand new carpet. I was retarded enough to just use it without trying it in an inconspicuous area.
spray paint
start by painting the carpet in the general stain area like so:
any left over paint can be used like so:
end result, clean carpet, a pretty painted face and a good feeling of accumplishment:
FOLEX. K-Mart. White bottle, 32 ounce. Loveliest spot remover. $7 for 32 ounces isn’t bad, either.
DAWN!!! Let it sit for about an Hour “Use that VERY Dark blue shit” Then scrub it out, Better to use a carpet cleaner with a hose attatched. But if not, Some really warm water and a Scrub brush. Might have to repeat a few times to get all the blue out But it will help if not work all the way.
newman, simple green and water, scrub with a bruch, work in the simple green, dab dry with paper towels, repeat until clean
and bubble gum.
Urinate on the spots. The urine will disolve the grease and it will all blot right up. Trust me.
im going to go try this carpet cleaner i have laying around right now.
you can thank me later.
honestly… first I’d try hot water with dish soap (the kind that cuts grease) w/a rag and a bristle brush before moving onto harsh chemicals like degreasers
im sticking with the spraypaint idea
Yup, I use brake clean for alot of things, grease in car interiors, clothing etc. I also keep an can near the washing machine for stains. I was told that the key ingredient is the same as dry cleaning fluid.
