So on the financial advice of my homeboy Zac, I bought a Moto Guzzi. Zac told me it was a great buy and there was a decent profit to be made on it so I bought it. His advice was SPOT ON!!:tup::tup::tup:
Being that I am drawn to useless, unreliable bikes to adorn my shallow garage with, I started the search for another one. I was on Syracuse Craigslist when I saw the ad for a 75 Triumph Trident. Called the seller and it was still for sale. He said that he just didn’t enjoy riding in NY as opposed to out west so he was selling it. Sent me some pics and also sent me a link to his photobucket account to view more pics of the bike. Went out to look at it Sunday with Jr knowing full well that it was going to come home with me.
Bike was in Clinton NY which is near Utica. Left the house at 7am Sunday with Jr. Set the cruise at 80 in the truck and off we went. Learned about EVERY dinosaur on the way. Mom gave Jr a dinosaur book. Jr quizzed me on EVERY dinosaur from the beginning of time until whenever they went extinct. I feel like I know more about dinosaurs then an archeologist. Volcanoes too. Jr LOVES LOVES LOVES volcanoes. So I now know of every volcanic eruption since they started keeping record of them. So with his non stop talking it made the time just fly by. Got there and was greeted by this-I knew I was in good hands…
It was their friends car.
Took me looking at it for about 5 seconds to realize I was taking it home. Bike is nice. Loaded it up and headed out once I peeled Jr out of the guys GT6. Much screaming ensued. He got to “help” strap the bike down so he was good quick.
Mercifully this ensued for about an hour on the way home
Got it home all safe and sound. Only issue is Sr saw it and fell in love with it.
LOVE the Hyde bars-clean it up without looking to goofy one way or the other
It is 100% British
