My V Twin

I must confess, I love the sound of a nice V twin. So I decided to do something about it.

First, I needed to pick my truck up from “The Wizard”, Mufflerman. Oh, the way they fixed those tailpipes, I’m going to be the next Michael Schumacher tearing up race tracks that also double as parking lots. I told them the only thing I care about it is weight as I need to trim the truck weight down to under 4500lbs. They obliged. Full build thread coming soon…

So I went to check this out on Tuesday as it was local and cheap so I figured what the hell? Went there and the owner was trying to get it running on starting fluid. LOTS of starting fluid. Enough starting fluid to drive it to see the Pacific Ocean and halfway back to the Atlantic. So I ask him “Ummm, I don’t mean to be a dick, but as the petcocks on?” “Is there gas in it?” He assured me that he threw a half gallon of gas in it a bit back. As I was asking if there was gas in it, I opened the tank. A). rust free-COOL! B). bone dry. So I told him to go get some gas, offer him $5 for the fuel, and tell him the bike is way too heavy for me to throw in the truck by myself, I’ll stay here and wait. He goes to Tops and comes back 10 minutes later. Pour it in and it fires right up! The sound-it sounds like an orgasm and the feeling of a long weekend rolled into one audible experience. I give him $50 to hold it and tell him I will be back tomorrow to pick it up.

Wednesday after work I grab Jr and Sr and off we go-3 generations of this fine family lineage in one place-the world barely stayed on it’s axis.

Here it is

1973 Moto Guzzi Eldorado
850cc
5spd
31K miles
the guy I bought it from owned it for 32 years
those saddle bags and that fairing are Guzzi factory accessories-I guess people want them? Whatever.

Yeah, the exhaust looks like hell but the bike itself is solid and all there. It fires right up with fuel in the tank and shifts through the gears, rode well around the block.

i love it

oh my god. I’ve never met you but I want to be best friends. Moto Guzzi was my dads first bike. he married and divorced my mom with that bike. HAHA.

What are the plans with it? I recently purchased a V-Twin as well for a DD, sounds sooooo good!

HAHAHAHA. Suffice it to say, this purchase did not go over too well with the baby momma. And please aim higher then having me as a best friend-don’t settle.

Honestly, I am deciding on which one I sell of the 3. The Commando is NEVER leaving so that leaves me the Bonneville and the Eldorado. I think that the Guzzi would fit me better but the Bonneville is a roadworthy as it is now. I know that can change quickly, so, who knows? The Eldorado though-it looks like a road king in comparison to the Norton and Triumph.

Keep all of them!

Could be worst, you could have a makeup problem like some.

Looking forward to race weight exhaust thread.
Nice purchase on the guzzi

I need to add an Italian to my stable next.

Jr seems to like it, all smiles

Jr was asking Lynn ALL DAY about going to get the bike-“We getting the Moto Guuuzzzzziiiiii?” “I get to ride in the big white truck with daddy and grandpa?!?!” And multiply each of those phrases by 254y298756287658792 and that was her day. She told me if the bike didn’t happen Jr might have a Brittney Spears style breakdown

this thing looks cool i see some pretty awesome potential

FUCK YOU RICK

cool bike though!!!

Yeah!

Hey Focusinprogress-tell you dad here is a chance to re marry and re divorce her!

Figured that I should close this one out.

Listed the bike on Ebay and sold it. Then I get the email, “Dear kind sir…I am an oceanographer on assignment and will have my shipping agent contact you blah blah blah” FUCK YOU!!! I guess it wasn’t all bad-I extended the second chance offer to the next highest bidder and sold it for $50 less after Jacques Cousteau flaked. The second chance buyer laughed at the story and said he would take it, immediately sent me $200 to hold it and then sent me a certified check for the balance. Got picked up Saturday. I would have had pictures of it leaving but my useless woman is unaware that a cell phone can be used for things other then wasting time on Faggotbook/streaming freaking TV shows and when it rings 17 fucking times there maybe a reason for it. But, she did tell me that “There were some other nice bikes on the trailer you would have liked.” [SIZE=6]FUCK YOU WOMAN!!!

[SIZE=2]Pretty shitty story bro, but, the sale of the Guzzi did fund this little gem

I love your shitty stories. We need to drink beer sometime.

I’m old. I smell beer and my head starts to split. Monster works with me:tup:

I love monster. and beer. not together though. I also get more jealous of each bike you buy, because I’ve yet to own british or italian bikes.

Looks like a nice GT6 sitting in the garage as well
