Actually, power wise they’re much cheaper, and we use S13 coil overs, adjustable tension rods, etc. It takes fabrication skills to do some stuff, which makes it a cooler car than something anyone can bolt whatever onto IMO. Overall, its a very affordable car to make enjoyable. As far as stuff like bushings and stuff, Prothane offers full poly for them, theres aftermarket sway bars and such for no more than what they’d cost for a S13, etc. Plus its a VG, so internals are interchangeable with the Z31 opening up forged (other than the stock forged rods) bottom end parts…and a junkyard maxima VG30E has been proven to hold ~500whp on the stock internals anyways. Camshafts (regrinds of stock units) are available for ~$190, or JWT offers cams ground on new billets for a bit more. Ferrea offers both stock size and 1mm oversize valves for the SOHC VG, and a VG33E is a reasonable upgrade to a slightly larger displacement engine, basically bolting right in. Nistune is the same price as it is for a S13, and stuff such as fuel pumps etc can be interchanged with a Z32 or S13. Z32 brakes fit the Z31s with a small spacer on the bolts that hold the bracket on, and other crap is available at pretty affordable prices. IF you want to do a big turbo setup and want an external wastegate, better learn how to weld, or pay someone else to weld for you.

it seems to me you asked the general populus if they liked z31’s, then you specifically disagree with everyone who doesn’t like them.

I’ve never been a fan of them personally. I like 240z’s, 240sx’s (throughout the line) and some z32’s (though they’re larger, touring class). never was a fan of 280z’s, 260’s (why not just get a 240z) and z31’s
