How much power will I make - Dyno at Mikes today

That delta 100 is the problem… Try real race gas, and turn up the wick! Get some VPN20 at the next moms race, and spray all 3 stages!

I’ll bet the only ford part from engine to fuel system is the block.

numbers i were expecting… i told everyone my car doesnt make big dyno numbers.
bring out your v8 s10 and well see how my sub-400 hp car does

haha, ill break something first time i hook :frowning: still working on beefing up everything else, its the money tree thats limiting that time frame. ive blown a clutch, snapped main shaft in transmission, and shredded a set of gears since i put a v8 in this truck. this winter im building a new rear end to replace this junk one and tunneling my floor for the driveshaft so i can fit a loop in before the driveshaft lets go…but ill make it to the track sometime next year im sure. dont have a clue what times i would run though, im sure nowhere near what youre running on spray.

so like i said, what is the motor? havent seen it stated before, im just curious.

also, do you know a eric s in pendleton? hes got a darkblue/black fox, trailers it to the track, has a stroker in it i believe. lives down the road from me but havent had a chance to stop there and talk to him when he was outside. car looks pretty nasty though.

Don’t know why anyone would expect a high stall car with slicks and a non lock up convertor to be a dyno queen.

412 , 10-1 comp

i know… noobs

I have been using the delta 100 from up on walden and havnt had any problems with it.i just got some 2 weeks ago.

He is trying to compete with the real dyno king. lol.

He had the highest numbers on the day though. That is how bad NYSpeed sucks.

LOL you are so mad. I was out of town or I would have been down.

It would have been sweet for a cam only ls1 to stomp a built SBF…

Just like it is sweet that you stomp me @ NYI. :frowning:

dont think my car will break 600 wheel. but ill have gobs of torque

^^ When you going again ?

before the winter

I’m going to try and get there this saturday if they have dyno time. I think this time the car will put down more than 340rwhp ha

LMK if you guys are going and I will tag along as well.

X2…

You guys plan on just doing the 3 pulls for $100 or the 1 hour for $120?

I would have to see if chuck is available. If he is I would do the hour I would guess.

Good to know.

I am

I just wasn’t aware that changing the property of compressive ratio before detonation also changed the amount of energy required for complete burn [especially since all gas station fuels are all the same density]. Chemistry has never really been an interest of mine.

So as a rule you’ll need more spark/O2 as octane increases regardless of compression ratio?

I could be wrong because I suck at chemistry, but I don’t think you need more O2 with increased octane since the energy density and the stoich ratios don’t change, but the burn rate is much slower with higher octanes. So the combustion event may not be completed by the time the exhaust valve opens and start to move the cylinder gases around again blowing unburned fuel out the exhaust.

But this is just a guess…
