How to blow subwoofers

Seriously. Why would you blow them up just to get another set? I hope this shit backfires on you and they don’t cover them under the warranty.

:word:
If they have been working fine without and problems, or damage of any kind it’s kind of pointless. Just gives you the chance to end up with a sub that won’t hold up.

i’m curiour why do you want to blow these up? you do know that when they warranty the subs the warranty doesn’t start over right? the warranty is from the origional purchase date. if the subs are good and she doesn’t abuse (not playing loud but abusing there is a difference) them they will last a very long time.

not high pitched. :stuck_out_tongue:

uhhh, did You not see the foreslash along side of the equals (/=) which generally denotes “does not equal”?

:stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue:

hehe, I thought it was a mis-type. Hammer on me.

hahahahah nice vids

Is it just me or is it odd that the cheap-shit speaker was the one to last the longest?

not really when You consider it was a 8 ohm (7.2ish dcr) 3" coil and You factor impedance shift.

Valid point, wouldn’t heat up as quick.

those have got to be the least exciting vids i’ve ever seen

but man… i dunno, speakers aren’t necessarily wear items :gotme:

Im still confused as to WHY this kid wants to blow these subs. … Just to get repalcements of the same type? WTF is the point of that? Those subs will last longer then the car they are in. I find this almost annoying.

yeah, seriously. this is why everything costs so much.

:word:

They are not supposed to be exciting. they are for CA nerds. Just like long drawn out burnouts are for tire manufacturers, errr, i mean ricers, errrr, i mean car guys.

Good luck. I worked at stereo advantage for 5 years and they do not cover that shit. I’d read your warranty info cause most manufacturers and any good store would not take it back a sub that has ben blown for obvious reasons

Besides, why blow a perfectly good sub if it is working just fine??

:word: its just a waste of time and efforts

Ya after i explained to her what everyone is saying, she decided that it would be pointless to do it. Thanx all.

To accomplish what? It’s still gonna be 60Hz, in this country at least…

And yeah, how about you just don’t do it? Whatever, have fun shelling out for new subs when the place you got em won’t honor the warranty. Did you design the system/install it yourself? Because then it’s obviously your own fault that your subs blew. Must not have done it right.
