Soooo much music available on youtube, here’s how to get it into an mp3
(some of this is covered in another thread)
Find the video on youtube
Paste the link into www.videodl.org
Click “get it”
After a second or two a link appears under the URL you just pasted called “download link”
Right click it and choose “save as”
Save the file as the artist - the title .FLV YOU HAVE TO SAVE IT AS .FLV
Download and instal SUPER from http://www.erightsoft.com/S6Kg1.html
Open Super
Drag the .FLV file into the big white box on the SUPER program
In the top left corner pull down menu for “[Select the Output Container]” choose mp3 (audio only)
Select the audio options you wish to output (i use a sampling frequency of 44100, 2 channels w/ a bitrate of 128)
Click the encode button at the bottom. It always saves it in weird spots, you might need to search around.
That’s how i do it anyway… there may be easier ways.
using audacity and just recording it while the song is playing is another and easier
and you can save it as a wav or mp3 or both

anyone know how to save and view .FLV video files?? for example the type that youporn uses.
Well to save video if your using Firefox, you can use the Videodownloader add-on and to play back I use Riva Videoplayer.

i don’t know what the flashplayer bitrate is. I imagine it’s set by youtube. (looks to be 80kbps) It sounds fine for what it is.
can this be done using a mac?

Very easily if your using safari…
Load the vid on youtube, wait until its done…
Click on window, then select activity… click on the little arrow to drop down the items from the current youtube page. Find the big one, thats the video… Double click on it, and it wil start downloading it to your desktop. Its named Get_Video.flv
Then i believe iDVD or iMovie HD can rip the audio from that track and save it to mp3 or whatever…
But its not exactly going to sound good, but most people somehow dont notice the difference, so… w/e…
