How to steal the soul of an FD - SOLD

Ugh I miss seeing this car on occasion. It’s gorgeous!

LS1’s burn tons of oil.

should have brought it down brent.

lol got a face full of catless exhaust while behind the FD today, must admit it sounds badass…

Yeah, definitely need to sometime this summer. I missed the meet because I was mackin’ on honies in Nashville. :headbang:

Gonna bring it out to RIT for the auto-x?

No, I don’t do autocross. Though I normally stop by for the RIT events.

sweet I’ll check that out. There was a really nice black FD at Carlisle last year with a LS1 in it, really clean looking swap. I really want to see this car in person, looks very nice, I’d love to do a project like this some day.

Honestly, it seems hit or miss. Alot of guys on LS1gto.com say that they go through oil in their GTO’s with the LS1/2 and then others don’t. I have not seen my LS2 go through a drop between oil changes ever, some people were reporting problems with 5K miles on them. I think it is all in how you break the engine in.

I know, which is exactly why I said that he removed the POS rotary.

Got to drive the car to my house on wed so I can start working on the new (replacing the current mad jdm one) radiator shroud.

Its SOOO much fun. Its hard not to like this car once you ride in it or drive it.

EDIT: A guy here at work has a midly modified 93 RX7… his face was priceless when I started it up for him… and even better when we went for a quick spin.

Dan

Too bad you hit that guardrail Dan. Does Brent know yet?

loose lips sink ships…

looking forward to pics.

Newds?

IN

Well, I started tinkering a little but no real progress. To do so I really need to get it in the garage. For some reason, I cant get the cabrio started. So, since I needed to anyway, Im puling the motor quick so its easier to push in and out. Its all unhooked now minus the downpipe and motor mounts. Hopefully it will be out of the car tomorrow, the bish pushed outside and the FD in, yay!

Actual progress on it this week for sure.

Brent, whats that mystery blue wire that runs across the core support?

Dan

horn to NX noilds under headlight :snky:

Mystery blue wire is the fan turn on wire from PCM. It’s the ground side of the relay control. If you can hide it somewhere, that’d be sweet. :snky:

So, the car is pretty much done. I need to track down an issue with the power or ground to the gauge cluster and address the paint someday, but the car runs, drives, is reliable and is completely put together.

Oh yeah, and it’s for sale. $16k, no BS, no fucking around, that’s my bottom dollar. PM me if you’re interested and I’ll give you the full rundown. Yeah it’s cheap, I don’t mess around when it comes to selling things.
