Hey ya’ll. I finally went ahead and registered over here (obviously). A LOT of you already know my from teh berf. For those of you that don’t, my name’s Andy and I’m just a “good ol’ boy” from the sticks of the southtowns, East Concord to be exact. I’m generally regarded as Mr. Oldschool. I own a hotrodded '55 Willys CJ5, a '67 Tucker Sno-Cat 442-A, a '70 F-350 dually stakebed; my welding truck, a '49 Chevy 3600 3/4 ton pickup that’s currently under restoration, an '87 F-250; my worktruck, a couple vintage parts trucks, and a beater '96 Neon sport coupe that gets about 10 times the mileage as everything else and is the slowest thing I’ve ever owned. My fiance also owns a ‘50 Dodge pickup that I am the caretaker of. I’m currently working for Grand River Navigation as a Merchant Marine sailing on a 604’ lake freighter. It sucks, but the money is great. Needless to say, I spend a lot of time away and I should be shipping out again in a day or two. Before I started this job, I had almost 10 years in as a heavy equipment mechanic. I know my way around mechanical stuff. I’m a retired circle track racer so I know how to make stuff go fast too . I’ve also recently started my own small business, “Southtowns Truck & Equipment Repair.” I’m getting into light and medium duty truck, trailer, and equipment repair, welding and light fab, hauling, and off-road wintertime recovery. My welder is portable too, so I can do on-site repair. /shameless plug
Anyway, enough chatter, when I’m in town you’ll see me around here. Pics of my fleet to follow:
