Weak!

/thread.

and those look like tiny 15/16 inch rims

i think 17’s are listed on the site.

13x9 … mmmmmmm

brock

There are 17’s there as well…
you can get crazy low offsets with them…

Also, how does someone know if they clear big brakes or not? Just by looking at the spoke design?

Original Nutta, I can translate some stuff for you if you want…

for example,
“Einpresstiefen” = ET = Offset
“Stern” = “star” i.e. spokes, center piece, etc…
“Außenhälfte” = Outer Half i.e. Lip (usually it’s polished)
“Nabenkappe” = Center Cap (can be 24K Gold, LOL)
and so on…

Also, if you click on “Einpresstiefen” for the HTN 17"
you’ll get this:
http://www.htn-felgen.de/start/html/body_einpresstiefen_17_zoll.html

You can see that you can play around with the height of the hub and how much inner/outer lip you want to you have…
for example, take the 9" wheel width:
“3,5” aussen / 5,5 innen” 56 46 36 26 16
means 3.5" outter lip and 5.5" inner lip at different offsets…
5,0” aussen / 4,0” innen 18 8 -2 -12 -22
means 5" outter lip and 4" inner lip at different offsets…
and so on…
I don’t see why those wheels shouldn’t clear big brakes… you can get a low offset wheel, with a smaller outter lip and you should be fine…

did you read what I said? You can play with the height of the center hub, the offset and where they place the spoke design (i.e. how big of a inner/outter lip you want)… I’m sure you can find a decent wheel design they have and play around with the numbers…

for example, get a smaller outter lip, and a low offset… the height of the center hub will have to pretty low (or high, depending how you look at it) …that should help you clear the bigger calipers… also, they can custom make any offset & center hub height you want and they’ll even deliver the wheels to you to try it out (but you have to be in germany in order for them to deliver it to you)…

edit: “Bundhöhe” is the center hub (so to speak)… I forgot to translate that…
On their site they even mention that it’s used for “free brake movement”, i.e. to clear the brakes…

^^^^

yes i understand i could have the rim custom made to my liking so it would then clear the calipers.

if i could have read germany and read from the get go that you can have them made whatever size/offset/style then my comment would have been different.

but point still was, you can easily tell most the pictures posted… would not clear so big of a caliper very easily just by looking at it.

I agree, from the pictures, it definitely looks like that it wouldn’t clear any big brakes… I guess the pics are a bit misleading…
on top of that, those are some very expensive wheels… it’s too much imo, just so you can be different…
But I’m sure the people who can afford BBS wheels, König, HRE’s and so on, wouldn’t mind paying that much to have wheels that no one else has… especially if they have an old school german car

konigs are cheap ass rims…along the lines of motegi
they do not compare to bbs and hre at all.

and not everyone who buys rims has, or will ever have big brakes too.

HRE are wood.
