Hunter Mountain / BMW Motorcycle Event - October 1,2,3

I might be going (depends on weather mostly) on the 2nd as Max BMW will have there demo truck there. Hunter Mountain is about 1.5 hrs from Albany.

Also, visit their official for more detail of the event: HERE

Come ride with us at Color in the Catskills III, October 1-3.

From the buzz online and here in the shop, Color in the Catskills III is lining up to be the best one yet! There appears to be a lot of enthusiasm for this unique weekend that combines Hunter Mountain’s Oktoberfest with a BMW rally! There is no rally fee for this event - it’s free - and bikes of all makes and models are welcome. MAX BMW Motorcycles is a proud sponsor of this event and we are providing three more great reasons to attend:

BMW Demo Truck:
Here’s your opportunity to ride the bike of your dreams on some of the best roads in the northeast. The BMW Demo Truck will be on site on Saturday, October 2 with all of the latest models. Pre-registrations are not accepted for demos, simply visit us under the awning on Saturday to sign up!

MAX BMW Dual Sport / Off-Road Clinics:
Back by popular demand, we will be offering free off-road skills classes for adventure bike riders who want to broaden their range of travel. Classes will be held on Saturday and on Sunday morning. As with the demo truck, sign up will be at the rally only.

Knobby-only Dual Sport Ride:
Saturday afternoon after the off-road class, we will be leading a dual sport ride through the Catskills (approx. 3 pm) Knobby tires will be required for this ride.

We will have a tighter schedule of events available for publication next week. For more information on Color in the Catskills, visit the Hunter Mountain Web Site or the rally thread on the BMW MOA Forum.

The 2010 event is being brought to you by the Hunter Mountain Oktoberfest and MAX BMW. Thanks also to our friends at BackRoads Magazine for their support and assistance.

All brands of motorcycles are welcome to attend. There will be something for everyone. We will have off road events, sport riding, sport touring, and touring rides set up for your self guided enjoyment. There will be a number of high quality motorcycle vendors on site in addition to the Oktoberfest vendors. Seminars will be offered on topics of interest to all motorcycle riders. There will be daily entertainment on site on Saturday and Sunday as part of the Oktoberfest activities. Chair lift rides will be available to the summit of Hunter Mountain for stunning views of the “Colors in the Catskills”. You can even rent a mountain bike to take up the chair lift with you and then ride down Hunter as fast as you wish for a definite adrenaline rush!

We will be offering free off road riding skills schools on Saturday and Sunday led by members of TEAM MAX of Pikes Peak and RallyMoto fame. Here is your chance to find out what your off road or dual sport bike is really capable of doing with some training. MAX BMW has also arranged for the BMW Demo Truck to be on site Saturday, 2 October, offering rides on the latest BMW models.

Come join us for a day or the entire weekend. Last year 2,300 riders joined us for some part of the weekend activities. Bring all your friends along to enjoy the “Colors in the Catskills”. Stay on site, in nearby lodging or take advantage of the on site” camping offer.
