Mine did as well.
is that a new housing mike? i never knew garrett had the anti-surge housing for the 35r’s. i thought it was only tial and precision’s
the twin scroll is gonna be sick, how much quicker should it spool compared to a non twin scroll 35r?
most of the housings aren’t actually machined by garrett but rather their major suppliers, atp, turbosdirect, precision, tial. i havent seen any results on these t3 divided housing turbos but im hoping for some positive results.
Sweet man. Has morgan already started fabbing up the manifold yet?
Gonna be sick
That particular housing is cast ported from Garrett with bypass port machined in. They offer blank(non-machined) exteriors for aftermarket inlet machining based per customer request as Mike mentioned for companies like ATP and similar. Tial, PT, FP, APS and similar offer in-house housing options with their own anti surge designs. I do my own where needed on custom stuff that’s not offered anywhere else, like EJ’s antisurge 16G Evo.
Mike, you’ll like the response of that turbine housing. I know they’ve got a bit of displacement over your motor but I like using this turbo on EFI converted 930/965 chassis as it responds exceptionally well. Bigger displacement motors sometimes will choke that .78 housing out up top, not sure what you’re going to run into on that acura. I have heard rumors that there is a 1.06ar housing out there somewhere(might have been APS??, don’t quote me though) but I have never laid eyes apon one myself. I’ve only read stories about its existence on a few forums. EvoM comes to mind actually…
If you want it to respond even better, get the t-side ceramic coated(jet hot extreme sterlin). Twin scroll setups thrive off of exhaust velocity and more heat retained = more velocity.
got my new wastegates in, and rewired the driver side door what a nightmare anthony. had to use the switches from morgans red intega.
some pics of the wastegates:
Hey… cant say that sean and i didnt warn ya lol. were you able to get the passenger window to work?
