I hate Scotch, but to each their own. Blue label is the ritz of Scotch.
I took a tour of their distillery in Scotland a few years ago and they told us the deal on that stuff. Impressive. At the end of the tour was the tasting of course(no blue included) the chubby ever so Scottish gent giving the tour of course had to include himself in the tasting too. He went on and on about how good thier stuff was and how to distinguish the various componenets, Yeah right…I touched my tongue to the side and all I could taste was lighter fluid. Couldn’t get rid of the taste all day long.
Not for me.

other than that i drink vodka in just about every variation.
gin is the only thing im picky about. and whisky…i hate jack daniels
and im not a scotch drinker by any means

I’m not a Scotch drinker or terribly knowledgeable on it either. I worked up in the distillery region of Scotland for awhile and from what they told me while I was there it was good stuff. I’m sure there are brands that are a lot better and/or more expensive, but they seemed to think it was pretty good over there.
I was working for Untied Distilleries and the place I visited was Cardhu near Knockando.
