I ----HATE---- Symantec Software...

Last night I installed Ghost v10 so I can capture the image of my C:\ drive and back it up incase of disaster. Well, once the program was installed, my CPU meter began acting weird, CPU was pegged for minutes with no activity. Firefox would not open, I uninstalled and reinstalled several times. Removed Ghost, reboot…same issue, CPU pegge when I open an application and program GUI doesnt start. Looks like I will be reinstalled everything once again tonight. Same shit happened with Antivirus. Once it’s on your system, good luck trying to remove it. :eyebrow:

Well teh shit is removed and my browser still doesnt work mr techie man:eyebrow:

Usually the HD manufacturer has a similar program like ghost for free.

^ I bought my HD as a retail item 2 years ago so it was a bare drive.

Restore to a previous point?

Find all setting files for the browser and delete them

Run msconfig and make sure no weird services/programs are starting up.

Restart the computer ? lol

Restored and did all dat…i’m pissed…lol…I will just reload from scratch and wont install BS programs anymore. At least Vista is a self-installing OS and I dont have to be there…How can I format the HD and Blow away any partitions on the hd? Fdisk used to be my favorite command but damn, I dont know where the floppy disk is…and utilities that can be run from a usb key?

The Vista CD should give you the option to format…

Ghost is a pretty rockin’ program, maybe you suck at using it… lol

You sure it works with vista…?

^ I used it quite often in the past but I had terrible luck with their latest shit…antivirus, systemworks and now ghost.

Oh.

I’ve heard this is turning out to be MEv2. I’m thinking I might end up rocking XP until blackcomb comes out…

?? What’s Blackcomb?

acronis > ghost
