I missed my Jeep, so.....

I figured that this would be a good time to grab a new one. I sold my 94 about 5-6 years ago and have missed it. With the rebates and all the other incentives, i was happy with the price i got. I sold the Subaru and picked this up last night. It’s a lot more civilized than my 94 was, but still has the Jeep feel.
I really need to take a break from buying cars for a while.

 looked the shop of krebs though

Congrats

Nice ride, but can I ask why buy new and not maybe a nice used TJ and add a nice lift, wheels, tires, ect.?

Maybe it’s just me, but I would rather buy a nice used ride, add what I wat, then to spend the same money on a new ride. But I guess to each his own.

Anywho, I love the color and thank GOD it’s not a hard top…

He could have gotten it for about the same price as some of the used Jeeps out there. As hard as dealers are having it right now I wouldnt be surprised.

Really? that seems a little hard to believe, but I haven’t bought new in so long, I guess I’m wrong.

Cause he isnt from fayette.

Knowing you and who your brother is, chances are you’re buying streak hasn’t ended! anyways, nice Jeep. My first car was a wrangler and first car love was Jeep, so can appreciate going back to one! I know that xj didn’t do it for you!

btw, my son would really appreciate the color. If we pass a yellow car/truck/whatever on the road he makes sure to point it out! (granted he turns 3 at the end of the month)

Nice JK! Now it is time for a lift, wheels and tires and out to the trails!

Mac; I was back on forth on the A4 Vs M6, but the deal i got on THIS particular Jeep made my decision for me. It’s an 08 and had been in stock for a while, so it’s base price was from 2 price increases ago.

Tom: I was considering a TJ, and also an 07 JK. The prices for 07 JK’s were within 1K of what i paid for this one, and this one has the beeter warranty since it is new. A decent 05 or 06 TJ with reasonable miles on it(under 40K), also didn’t save me all that much money compared to what i would have given up. One of the good things about Wranglers is that they hold their values almost as well as HonDuhs, so buying used (if you can find a decent on used), is difficult. I looked for a while. 4D5G hit it right on the money, the deal to buy new was too good to pass up.

Chad…LOL, whats a Fayette?

Mark: You know the deal, but i do need to cool it for awhile. The next vehicle i buy i think will be used and be LSx powered. But that won’t be soon, unless i sell the VW. I DO love XJ’s, but i was ready to get another Wrangler. My old YJ with the 4.0 5 speed was big fun.

Devin: This JK is not going to be a mall queen. My wife is anxious to get it out onto the trails, and who am i to tell her no?:rofl:

I  jeep wranglers.

nice buy, congrats

:bigthumb: GOOD! I hate mall crawlers, my GF has a 5 speed yellow “04” TJ with a 2 inch BB lift and 31’s but as always mine is the only one to go into the woods:rolleyes: Maybe your wifey could talk her into taking hers as well. PM if you need any help with the lift and so fourth. Here are afew websights that could help you out with lift’s and accesories. My XJ is only sitting at 4 inches with 31’s for now but i plan to add a 1.5 rear shackle nad prob a 1 inch spacer, but i would need an SYE for the drivline so all in due time. The XJ gets me through alot of shit with only that lift adn tire combo as is though.

Chad, i didn’t know that pewter was in Fayette…for some reason i thought he was in Westmoreland.
Geography always did own me.

i dont even know… haha … fayette is out that way isnt it?

on a side note, i like beer.

Been one year since i got it, i beat the hell out of it and it takes it although i have replaced numerous things on it including an axle last month. PGHoffroad is a nice sight with nice people, just introduce yourself first for courtesy.

it makes me a jolly good fellow
I like beer. it helps me unwind and sometimes it makes me feel mellow
(i hate country but i do like that song almost as much as i like beer)
