LOL…i’m gonna say probably…cause i unfortunately had to drive the M during winter…but with winter tires and wheels…it was fine
i bet you had you nice and fat “semi off road tires” on didn’t you
I drive the evo 365
oh and buy snow tires
Snow Tires on a 2wd > all seasons on a AWD
You don’t represent everyone though…there are many people that store the type of vehicles that just happen to be that same vehicle someone uses as a beater. Why does it matter if he choses to keep a vehicle clean???
nah, decent all seasons on Quattro >>> snow tires on AWD. I’ve done both. Snow tires are good, but good tires on an AWD car will be better.
Go find me a car that has a seat that hugs you with the push of a button!!!:pimp:
My point wasn’t that the SHO has a high quality interior (it doesn’t…) but that the condition it was in was a “really nice interior”…especially for having 175k on it…
mids 90s vettes have seats and bolster at the touch of a button…but yea…i dont think its a bad interior
All comments on driving in the snow from someone who lives in Atlanta should be ignored. ![]()
I’m going to have to respectfully disagree with you. As soon as you step on the clutch (such as when braking or maneuvering around a spun out car in the snow) the AWD car with all-seasons will have less traction than a 2WD with 4 snows.
You are right, I never lived in upstate new york. I never owned a FWD car with no snow tires during the winter. I never owned a FWD car with snow tires during the winter. I never owned a quattro car with no snow tires during the winter. I never owned a quattro car with snow tires during the winter. I have not drive thousands of miles in some of the worst snow storms seen in the past 6 years. I have very little foul weather driving experience.
Snow tires are not a substitute for proper driving technique, which is what most drivers lack.
I see flat seats. I see flat seats and fake leather.
When I said hug this is what I meant…and in a somewhat sarcastic manner…if you’ve never been in a SHO seat these squeeze your side and ‘hug’ you. Also, fwiw there are many other higher end vehicles that have fake leather…not necessarily a bad thing.
Who was Ford kidding with those things?
You can pick up a 92-99 bonneville SSE/SSEi with most to all the options for under 4K. Parts are fairly cheap, the interior is decent, especially with the 9 way power seats. 96-99 SSEi has the Series 2 supercharged motor which has plenty of power, and they handle well in the snow. I drove a 93 SSE for the first year of driving, and currently have a 93 SSEi.
Also, a buick regal GS, 97+ are good in the winter. Has that after the first bonneville and it loved the snow. Plus you can get heated seats. THe GS also had the Series 2 Supercharged motor.
If you want cheap to buy and fix, I got a 1998 Lumina LTZ that I used last winter. $2000 takes it this weekend. I added heated seats to it and they work decent. I have that posted somewhere on here.
i have a jaguar x-type…fuckin awesome in the winter… it will be under four grand for you…the catch…its leassed…so u have to take over the lease payments of 200 a month…let me know
Well then don’t post!
I agree with you that proper driving technique >*
I drove my r/t in the snow. Mine had a lot more horse power then yours to and I did just fine. It takes some practice. Just get yourself some nice snow tires about 450/500 lbs of weight and you should be all good. You live in amherst, the roads get plowed regularly there. Also I’d suggest getting your truck undercoated.
