Any local hardware shops have a good assortment of metric bolts? LOWES, Home Depot, Tractor Supply and the parts store in my home town didnt have any in the right dia and pitch.
I am tring to put a 1.8t VW motor on a stand to put it together. It looks like a 19 or 20mm dia and a coarse pitch. I searched the internet and nobody can tell me what size they are.
I was hoping there is a kick ass hardware store here that has a shit load of bolts and I could just bring it in and match it up to a longer one.
I don’t have any idea if this will help you - I was in search of an O ring last year, I ended up at Ace Hardware on Central before I found it, but they have an entire room filled with bolts. Worth a shot maybe?
Like I said no promises Ace will have it, but they were really good about pulling ~20 from boxes and letting me compare to the original before I found a match. Helpful young chap he was.
well, I ordered the m12 1.5’s from McMaster yesterday morning on a 9$ whim… if they come and dont work this evening, I will go out sat and hit up the other spots you all mentioned.
