aight i have a 91 honda crx with a b16a swap done…my problem now the car dose now wanna idle when in gear pretty much… when its just sittin their when i first start it its fine but when i go to drive and stop at a light i push tha clutch in and it dies… and also when i back out of my drive way i go to give it gas it dies till i let off tha gas and push in tha clutch … to me it sounds like a bad fuel filter… another thing is tha car was sittin for 2 years and tha gas is about 2 years old… if any one can help be that would be great

Does* holy shit.

I would start with cleaning the IACV and reinstalling it. Here’s a link http://www.honda-tech.com/showthread.php?t=1575913. If that doesn’t work might be the FITV so here’s another diy link http://www.team-integra.net/forum/display_topic_threads.asp?ForumID=15&TopicID=163843&PageMsg=Viewing+Common+Topic

aight i beleave we have figured out the problem i did my checking and going down the list i changed tha fuel filter and so we tryed that still did tha same thing what we figured out is that their isnt enought fuel pressure goin to the motor… at idle it would sit at 16 psi and when i would drive it it spikes to 30 psi… so i researched and at idle it should be sittin at 45psi… so i what im am going to replace next is the fuel pump because it dosent sounds do great

lol

Dude, punctuation is your friend.

fuckkk this sucks

4 for 6… not bad. But that’s only with the word “the.”

edit- I’m not the first one to knock you here for your grammar. But when you make posts like these in a “help” thread, it makes it difficult for others to decipher whether the problem is with the car or with your own stupidity or laziness, whichever it may be in this case.

first off, you know that damn stale gas is not helping so might as well get that out of there before doing anything else or at least cut it with a whole lot of fresh stuff

checked your alternator output? it could be the fuel pump, but if the pressure is increasing that dramatically off idle it sounds more to me like a voltage issue and less that the pump itself is weak. Are you running underdrive pulleys? Loose and/or slipping alt belt? Could also be wiring, bad pump ground…
