All that work for a heavy v8 that produces 300 horsepower or less?

here’s some good pictures from that forum:

cavaliers are the worst

LOL Look at all the pile of shit cars that came right from GM with V8’s right over the drive wheels. UGH The fail never ceases to amaze.

What’s wrong with having the motor over the drive wheels?

Don’t let the pictures fool you… he has the stock engine and a Northstar V8 engine cover. LOL

Old people want something that’s good in the snow. I know 15-20 of them that bought the 90’s caddys over a lincoln or something simply because of FWD. You think people gave a shit if their Sedan DeVille could handle? The thing had the suspension tuning of an overstuffed couch.

I should have been more specific. LARGE V8 over the front drive wheels = enormous fail

HAHA very true. I would have no choice but to LOL at them when they understeer into a poll though :mamoru:

LOL, niiiiccccccccceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Yeah, people bitch about these 90’s GM cars but they knew their target market, catered the product to them, and sold a ton of them, profitably, even though they had nothing for enthusiasts. Hard to argue with results. In the exact same way that Honda and Toyota know their target market, people who don’t care about cars that want something that will not break a lot and get good gas mileage, and sell a ton of them today, even though they are slow and boring. Car companies’ motive is to sell cars, not please the enthusiasts.

has it run at the track yet?

are you sure its a runner?

Not everyday that you see something that requires both decent technical/mechanical skills and a total lack of taste.

Very true. The cars where HORRID but the company was profitable. In years of late though they did try to make “Performance” cars V8 FWD. The pontiac GP GXP and impala SS. Im pretty sure they didn’t have LSD’s either. haha talk about fun to drive. :roflpicard:

Yeah, it sucks that they were profitable with crap then, and now they’re putting out the best stuff they ever have and hemmorhaging money. That’s why I really hope the gov’t restructuring rights the ship so awesome stuff like the G8 and new CTS doesn’t go to waste.

From his thread:

The only updates i have are of work done in the back half, we tubbed the rear for bigger wheels/tires, built a backhalf frame, and a roll bar (6point) Only have a couple pics to share from that though. i would prefer if people would refrain from posts on how useless this is on a FWD car as it does serve its purpose perfectly- it makes me happy

Wrd.

So much fabrication for so much fail.

And I thought VW kids with staggered wheels on FWD cars were stupid. This just makes me want to choke a bitch.

:gotme: it’s a hobby and keeps him entertained, why not? he obviously has some kind of attachment to the car

:banghead: LOL
