he built a frame in the rear of the car and DIDN’T do a RWD swap? Now that is a huge :picard: He could have easily put a rear diff in and modded the rear suspension to take an axle. Fuckin aye, that is retarded.
For the amount of time he put into the motor and rear end, he could have built a SICK RWD setup. He’s already done 90% of the hardwork!
I disagree. Yours might but Northstar as a whole doesnt. I have never had any problems with mine. If it was so horrible, why would they continue to use it 15 years later? Countless amount of people have gotten well over 150k miles out of them with no problems.
No way,the 4.6 is no LS1 but its a reliable workhorse.I’d choose a modular over a northstar any day of the week.Plenty of them still running with 250k-400k+ regularly sell on eBay.
It is just a clusterfuck. Intake plentum to do a starter. Alternators are like three hour jobs. They leak, they run like shit, and they are big money to maintain.
bingo! not a performance application. I am talking purely from a performance standpoint. They are great for reliability, just look at police cars. But, pretty sad when you can BARELY crack 250 rwhp with every bolt on and exhaust on an American V8 from 2004.
that swap wouldnt be so bad in a stock Z24 or something like that. they ricevalier is pretty gay though. a stock car wiht that motor would make a fun sleeper. the northstar isnt that heavy either.
there was a guy at NYI the one day that had a calais with a stock (at least it looked stock) 3800SC running 13 flat. a stock 2dr cavalier with a northstar should do 12’s pretty easily.
