I have grown up on dirt bikes all my life, I’m never really comfortable on a rocket. I’m not 100% comfortable on my dads 06 soft tail. Ive always been comfortable on a motocross style bike. well seeing we are picking up aprilia
Aprilia SVX450 V twin taking 12,500 RPM’s
I love this bike
YES! i approve… I’d love a supermoto… hows the maintenance on it? and how much is it? cost? power?
ahhhh give me more details!
AWESOME bike! I would put a little more dirt-oriented tires on it and have a blast!
hot.
Do all master cylinders ride up that high? My MX bikes had them down below the bar or even with it.
SPORT TIRES > knobbies… esp for street and lot/track riding…
for the supermoto’s yes.
Cost MSRP is like 8ish I know a guy at BIMP got his for 7500 I can get it for dealer.
He has had his for 2 or 3 seasons and has checked valves and chained oil when the race 450s have been thru 2-4 motors lol
Im not sure on power yet, But this will not make it on the showroom
EDIT: looks like 60 BHP for the 450 and 70 for the 550
I’ll want to stay in the 450 class
I raced the dirt section at BIMP on SLICKS i’m sure ill love something with groves in the rubber lol them tire are fine for dirt
 these are really cool.
nice bike man
thats hot
unbelievably rad.
Ha cool lookin but I don’t know. Just looks like a dirt bike with street tires.
Yes, looks sweet. I was looking into one last year. Maybe this year I will get one.
so true, it would prorbably totally suck on a paved track…
i am a huge fan of all things enduro
a supermoto will be my next bike. there so rad
bataviakarting.com
I raced there, I love supermoto
i was there every week year before last at bimp, didn’t get a chance this year between the job change and new house. i just have a drz400sm, change the oil and ride the stupid thing and enjoy. the early Sxv’s had about a 90% mortality rate the past few years, i hope they got the bugs worked out of them for your sake, there are a LOT of the used market with new nearly unstarted 08’ motors b/c the owners just want out while it’s still moving under it’s own power and not leaking oil out of every orifice. rebuild cycle calls for annual piston and ring job which is what really scares me as far as operating costs. if you actually want to ride your bike i’d look elsewhere, if you want it living on a stand in your garage/dealer waiting for warranty parts from the motherland get a european exotic. don’t get me wrong, when it’s going you’ll blow my doors off on one wheel at nearly 100lbs less weight than my steel framed antique, and almost twice the hp.
www.supermotojunkie.com is a great SM forum, as well as www.thumpertalk.com
maybe as they become more popular the squids on the sport bikes will stop being ignorant and accept something else. jumping curbs and general hooligan antics are just so much fun. try this on your 600
here’s ryan moore a year and a half ago on his before it crapped out
my buddies buddy stoped by his house wit one of these, its nasty as FcK>…
