at cooper cameron they put 1400lb compressor housings on a CNC and spin the houseing to machine it…

not bad. My company makes noise/heat covers for turbine units like those. Biggest one we have done was just over 20ft tall, most are 10-15 feet tall, steam driven and sometimes electric motors. They also weigh in over 10,000lbs.
