no wonder those 04’s are going so cheap. I see alot of 04s for under 20K. Paddock must buy all the used ones. Mike isnt your employer/dealership doing all these repairs for you??? thanks fucked up if they wont take care of a customer let alone a employee
if it was my caddy, I would bitch like crazy. Im not gonna pay say 500 a month for a car that has had that many porblems with 12k on it. I beat on my focus day in and day out and its a 13k car. Not one problem
ur the one paying gm every dime u make to own that piece of shit

your absolutely right. but i did some research on GTOs before i bought mine and found that a lot of people find them to be very reliable and very good all around cars. most of the stuff im pissed about is the dealer trying to dick me around and not fixing what they broke or damaged. im not really too upset about the thing breaking (aside from the clutch) the 2 other problems ive had with the rim and the shifter are freak things that happened, and they’re getting taken care of, one way or another. i could bitch and moan about it all day, but in the end i was the one that made the choice to buy the car, and complaining about it on here will only either get me some lame jokes, or if im lucky sympathy, neither of which will get me anywhere with getting the car fixed.
EDIT: 04s are cheap because everyone wants the 400hp LS2 that came on the 05-06 GTOs. and Paddock is notorious for not taking care of employees like that. so when i say “im taking it to the dealer for the rim tomorrow” i mean im taking it to the PONTIAC dealer.
they still havent figured out what they’re gonna do about the steering wheel because apparently that part is $750
fuck it, tell them to pull one out of a used car on the lot. you get your stering wheel fixed ASAP and they can take their god damn time figuring out exactly what they want to do
plus, upholstry repairs like that dont last for shit , the repairs will eventualy crack out just like a clearcoat blend in paint will eventualy peel

<~~~ One of them.
And I had my best service experience around here on mine with Culligan, since they’re a little higher volume dealership they prob get them in more than most, plus they gave me a rental for a one day repair when i asked

i had to go to Culligan to get part numbers for my shifter (Paddock couldnt figure it out…go figure) and i found the place to be VERY clean, and the people to ve very polite and helpful. my car will be going there from now on for any warranty service. ok im done going OT in this thread before i get yelled at lol
sounds like my gm lets see 3 clutch pedel assem, um 4 radios , ac leak from the evap, brakes went at 7000miles,sunroof module broke 2 times they “fixed” once the second time i have to pay 1800$ to fix it. oh and good luck to find a battery for it a group 75-1 was only made for 03-04 model and NO ONE has one nice hunh
i seriously have no clue what you people do to your cars. I have a 2002 sunfire that i bought new back when i was 17. It now has over 110,000miles on it and the only thing that has gone bad was a power steering leak because a line rusted out (last week) because of driving through the winter every year for 6 years. Fuel pump died around 90k, and a ABS sensor went not that long ago, most likely corroded by salt. And this is the base model POS GM car. :gotme:
my family has owned gm cars since ive been alive, and we have never had problems either :gotme:
i mean, my dad’s last couple trucks he drove well into the 100k’s… his last one 250k, his current denali is at 150k, and once they get into that range they need service here and there. but he beats the shit out of them, and hauls trailers still and whatnot. hell, at 100k on his current truck, he did a full servicing to it (normal lube to everything + plugs and wires…and the truck drove like brand new…
my blazer has its issues, latest being a hidden draw, but hell, the thing is 11 years old and is still in good condish
:word: my family has been the same way. i really hope people dont thing im ripping on GM, because i would take a GM over just about anything else. the last blazer we got rid of was the only GM we’ve ever had that we got rid of with less than 100k on it. i highly doubt my GTO will see 100k with me as the owner, but still. the stuff that went wrong on my car was really out there, and thats fine, shit happens and it was just my luck. doesnt mean the same thing happens to every GTO out there.
EDIT:

coughfucking piece of shit GMcough oops did i say that?

and if you comment, you apparently didnt get the sarcasm there. GM > * IMO based on luck i and my family has had with them in the past.
i love how u guys are backing up a car company that has sold a car that broke down in 12k miles.
what would u have done?
i know plenty of ppl that beat on their cars, old and new. the domestics always break down. shocker.
gm build quality blows
Could not have said it any better, I know all the guys who are saying “this guy is a bitch, he shouldnt have kept driving it, etc etc etc” all of them would have got on this forum and bitched up a storm if this would have happened to them if they just dropped 55k on a car that shit the bed after 12k miles. :lolham:

really then why hasnt either of my GM cars broken down? And no one is defending GM, the only thing people are going off of is a video of a fucking retard who has a damaged car and continues to drive it for another two hours straight trying to go WOT throughout the whole video. Its his own damn fault for continuing to drive it. Plus if he did that how do we know he didnt beat the shit out of that car each time it broke?
:word: never had an issua mechannically with a GM vehicle that was not a wear and tear item or my own damn fault, 1999 yukon with 183,xxx and still going strong, shit I still have the original alternator and water pump…
I would be pissed, but at the same time I would not keep riving a car in limp mode for 180 miles
mike your problems arnt even motor issues just cosmetic this car has something wrong with the engine and i would be bitching up a storm if i had problems with my 55k car i bought 12k miles ago.
