I used to have that on my credit cards but when I bought my house and started having to make big purchases it constantly froze my credit card and made it really inconvienent to make any purchases. For the peace of mind, I will be setting that back up today.

someone fucked with my paypal too i was lucky paypal froze the acct and caught it before anything was taken…and i know just recently my mom had three separate transactions made on one of her credit cards one really small like two dollar donation to a charity, and then two 350 western unions. the cc company called her and asked what it was all about and she had to fight to get it reversed. our guess was someone got her info and did some bullshit 2 dollar donation to charity to see if it worked and then went for some real cash.

my paypal was hacked a while back. this “company” was trying to withdraw funds from the account, and when i saw it i notified paypal. they refunded all my $ and i changed my password.

Yup. Got a phone call today. Apparently someone got a hold of my personal information and tried opening a cell phone account under my name. AT&T called and verified if I had opened it. I’m now going through the process of making sure nothing else happens. So far nothing has, i’ve had a credit report done and nothing else, as of this point nothing has come up.

Has anyone else on here fallen victim to identity theft?
