Yaya, the newest blingiest and slowest OS evar! With DRM included at no extra charge!
that’s ummm, surprising.
i dont care about new o/s’s till someone has a registration hack for them
No one is even curious!! I will post pics when it’s installed…
oh, I am curious… Patiently waiting.
Didnt think that I needed to post to be “patiently waiting”, but if that’s the case then watch my post count go up
i got that months ago, its not all that good.
good luck tho!!!
Go you!! :hay:
lol i didnt mean it that way, i just didnt like it, as it was wayyyy too buggy, and it still is considering its still beta.
What do you people who run beta MS OS’s do for fun? I’m thinking something along the lines of slamming your nuts in a car door.
Why punish yourself? Just wait for the production version, I’m sure there will still be plenty of bugs to check out then.
I’ll reserve judgement for another year or whenever when it’s released.
so true, i have enough reasons i hate xp, … but running a beta o/s has to be as fun as switching from xp back to windows 95 …
there are more bugs in longhorn that XP ever had, its going to be a while b4 thiese get resolved.
haha
Yeah, I thought I would upgrade all my servers at work with a Beta version of this OS because it’s cool…
Yeah, I’m one of those people who doesn’t change OS’s until they reach Service Pack 2 or so…
Anyone want to take bets on whether or not they found all of the buffer overflow holes before they released it this time? My money is on no…
Oh, and how about an under/over on how long before the first security patch is issued?
first security patch will be within the first week and a half… first service pack within 4 months…
bottom line is OSes are so complicated now that once it is released a million and one ways will be found to exploit it that the programmers never thought of. they are pressured to get the damn thing to work reliably enough on a percentage of systems (think dell/gateway prepackaged systems) so other things must be sacrificed to keep the big wigs happy…
Had it awhile back, didnt like it. Reinstalled XP Pro and added the object dock, and Im happy as can be.
ahh microsoft… still trying to look like and work like apple after so many years… yet they keep on coming up with buggy software that gets viri in 4 min after connecting to a high speed line.
Vista or no vista, longhorn or no longhorn… I’ll keep my apple, you can have your viri and counterstrike.
Uhh, no? The object dock was actually in development since early 2000. I had a version oh Longhorn in the summer of 01 that had an early version of the “dock” well before your precious apple OS did. Nice try.
