Yep, and safe companies happily hand out information about master safe keys to random callers to their 1-800 number
I own a sentry safe, It says right on the owners manual that you can contact them with all your and safes info and they can give you a reset code.
you can also try 1-2-3-4-5 as that is the initial code sentry’s are set with.
if it is one of the old models go on you tube and watch how to use a 9v battery to open the safe.
He would know that, if the owners manual WASN’T LOCKED IN THE SAFE. :picard:
this made me lol
If you are really desperate, you might be able to pull finger prints off the keys, which would indicate the most commonly used keys. From there it limits the number of different options and also your brother might have an epiphany after seeing some of the numbers.
I still think this is all worth way more effort than whatever is inside that safe is worth.

BULLSHIT
Pics of open safe for proof.
And if this is real you might as well throw the safe out because it’s useless if someone knowing nothing about safes can open it that easily.

Assuming that you’re telling the truth about getting it open by touching it with a knife
CONGRATULATIONS, YOUR NEW SAFE IS SO TERRIBLE THAT IT’S PRETTY MUCH A GLORIFIED CARDBOARD BOX
Pretty much.
